TCE is seeking innovative, dynamic and proactive teachers to commence within our diocese for 2021.
The requirements to teach within our Catholic schools is as follows:
- Valid working rights to work in Australia which must be provided upon offer of employment
- Current Queensland College of Teaching Registration or ability to obtain before a 2021 commencement
- Demonstrated strong and effective communication and collaboration with students, parents and staff
- Innovative, proactive and flexible approach to student learning
- Established knowledge of, and experience in, curriculum initiatives

Interview time slots will be sent via email from email@example.com. Interviews will be approximately 30 minutes with two panel members comprising school leaders facilitating each interview process.
If you are unable to attend an interview face-to-face, please respond requesting a zoom interview and this will be arranged.

Townsville Catholic Education Office aims to interview all eligible applicants, however, this is not always possible.
If you are unable to attend the interview or have not been offered an interview you may still be considered for positions for 2021 and will be included in the 1st recruitment round of offers.
NB: Due to the current global situation, there may be a need to offer only online interviews to ensure the protection of our staff and interviewees. TCE will keep you updated with any changes pertaining to the interview process.
Offers of employment will be made from mid 2020 to the beginning of Term 1 2021. TCE aims to have all offers finalised before the end of Term 4 for a 2021 commencement.
There will be 2 rounds of recruitment interviews with the first considerations and interviews conducted in June/July. The second round will be conducted in September/October for anyone that missed out on round one and wishes to apply.
After the initial interviews organised by TCEO, applications are collated and sent to all 29 schools within the diocese, rural and remote locations will access the applications in the first instance cascading from further distance to local in Townsville.
If a Principal has selected your application for an interview, your details will not be available to access by other schools in the interim. The school will organise an interview with you directly and provide feedback if you are successful or unsuccessful for the interviewed position.
If you do not meet the current eligibility requirements of this role, you will be notified via email. TCE will keep all applications on file for consideration for future roles.
